ROSENBERG’S BESTSELLER ON MIDDLE EAST REVOLUTIONS NOW IN PAPERBACK

CAROL STREAM, Ill. (Feb. 23, 2011)—Joel C. Rosenberg’s “New York Times” bestseller, “Inside the Revolution: How the Followers of Jihad, Jefferson and Jesus are Battling to Dominate the Middle East and Transform the World,” will release in paperback on Tuesday, March 1 (Tyndale/$16.99). Originally published in March 2009, Rosenberg examines three types of revolutions simultaneously happening in the Middle East. The former political consultant turned bestselling writer calls the three groups the radicals, reformers and revivalists.

“I hope the paperback edition will be particularly helpful in sorting out the revolutionary dynamics driving the current clashes underway in North Africa and the Middle East,” Rosenberg recently wrote in his blog.

The paperback edition of “Inside the Revolution” releases just as unrest and government turnovers are spreading throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Rosenberg traveled from Egypt to Afghanistan to research the last three decades of revolution in the region and through countless hours of interviews with political, spiritual and cultural leaders documented that multiple upheavals, some quiet and some making headlines, were spreading throughout the Muslim world.

The hardback edition of “Inside the Revolution” was Rosenberg’s fastest selling non-fiction title. It spent eight weeks on the “New York Times” hardcover non-fiction bestseller list and made appearances on the lists for “USA Today,” “Publishers Weekly,” and “Wall Street Journal.” Rosenberg also created a documentary DVD based on the book as well as a study guide, both available through Tyndale House.

Rosenberg first became popular with a series of political thrillers (“The Last Jihad,” “The Last Days,” “The Ezekiel Option”) that seemed to almost predict future events in the Middle East. All six of his novels, including the most recent “The Twelfth Imam,” have been “New York Times” bestsellers. His previous bestselling nonfiction bestseller, “Epicenter: Why the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future” (Tyndale/2006) has sold 370,000 copies.

Rosenberg’s breakthrough into the top of the highly competitive “New York Times” nonfiction list is impressive considering he does not have the media platform of a daily radio or television talk show, or that of a large university or institution. Much of his grassroots support stems from the readership of his very popular e-newsletter “Flash Traffic.” With his political credentials of working for Benjamin Netanyahu, Natan Sharansky, Steve Forbes, and others, as well as his outspoken stance on Iran and support of Israel, Rosenberg has amassed a following of individuals who are deeply interested in the geo-political situation in the Middle East and its connection to Biblical prophecy.
